Police are investigating a fail-to-stop collision on the A595.
It happened at the bend next to the junction that leads to St Bees, on March 31 at about 9.50pm.
The vehicle that failed to stop was a white car, possibly a Seat Ibiza or Seat Leon.
Damage was caused to another vehicle.
Officers are interested in contacting the driver or passengers in another vehicle that was near at the time to see if they witnessed the collision.
Officers are also interested in seeing any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.
