A Cumbrian police officer has shared a sweet message left for them while they were out on duty.
The officer – who works in the Copeland area of the county – was dealing with a difficult incident on Sunday evening May 7 when they spotted a message written in yellow chalk on the road in front of their parked car.
Taking a snap of the little note, Copeland Police then shared it to their Facebook page, where it attracted a lot of attention.
The text on the pavement reads: “We like you police.”

While the note appears to be written by a child – the person behind the note remains unknown.
In the caption of the post, the constabulary called the note a ‘very welcome surprise.’
