Carlisle United releases nine squad members

Carlisle United have released nine members of their squad after completing their season with a Wembley promotion triumph.

The players who will be leaving Brunton Park are Lewis Bell, Jamie Devitt, Brennan Dickenson, Josh Dixon, Sam Fishburn, Mick Kelly, Joel Senior, Tobi Sho-Silva and Scott Simons.

They have also revealed the players already contracted to the club for the 2023/24 season who are Jack Armer, Ryan Edmondson, Jack Ellis, Joe Garner, Callum Guy, Jayden Harris, Tomas Holy, Paul Huntington and Owen Moxon.

In addition, five players have had clauses activated for the 2023/24 season: Gabriel Breeze,Jordan Gibson, Max Kilsby, Jon Mellish, Corey Whelan.

New deals have been offered to Taylor Charters, Kristian Dennis, Morgan Feeney and Omari Patrick.

Kai Nugent, who spent the second half of the season on a successful loan spell with Workington, is now a first year professional.

Five loan players are returning to their parent club – Fin Back, Ben Barclay, John-Kymani-Gordon, Alfie McCalmont and Jack Robinson.
