A Lake District hotel has won a top weddings award.

Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa at Windermere has won the Best Wedding Venue in Cumbria accolade in the County Brides North West Wedding Awards, thanks to the
efforts of its wedding team Lucy Newton, Rachel Baines, Ewelina Jozwik and Demi Harris.

The annual awards are voted for by brides and grooms who have had outstanding experiences.

Rachel, who is involved with the wedding team at Low Wood Bay and The Wild Boar Inn, said: “We’ve had some heart-warming feedback from couples who have chosen to tie the knot with our wedding team at the helm.

“We thrive on the chance to offer them a range of optional extras and finer details to ensure their big day is unique. So we’re thrilled to bits to win this award, and we had a great time at the awards ceremony too.”

Mark Needham, of English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues, added: “The County Brides North West Wedding award for best venue in Cumbria is a reflection on all the hard work our wedding co-ordinators and the wider team at Low Wood Bay put in throughout the year to make the big day that extra special for brides and grooms.”
