
A Lake District hotel has been rewarded for its high standard of service and dedicated team.
Rothay Garden Hotel in Grasmere has been awarded four AA silver stars and two AA rosettes.
Chris Tomlinson, general manager, said: “We are delighted that the hotel has achieved this recognition of the increasing standards within. It has been a challenging few years across the industry and continues to be, so, despite this I am very proud of how hard the team work to successfully deliver a great experience for our guests. Our restaurant is a huge passion of mine and working with the kitchen team to receive two rosettes is incredible.”
Silver stars are awarded to hotels that provide superior levels of quality, and high standards with regard to hospitality, service and cleanliness and hold an AA Rosette award for their food quality.
Two rosettes are given to restaurants which aim for and achieve higher standards, better consistency, greater precision apparent in the cooking and attention to quality ingredients.
The report said: “’AA Four Star Hotel grading is achieved alongside a prestigious silver award and high merit score of 83 oer cent. Service, hospitality, food and housekeeping (all staff related quality markers) are currently the core strength of the hotel and main drivers in obtaining this award.
“Congratulations to the entire team for achieving such high standards. This was an exemplary four-star experience; compliments to the team for delivering such a quality experience.”
