Cumbrian food and drink specialists Cranstons showed their ongoing support for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland recently with a share of profits donation.

Brampton Food Hall assistant manager Steven Davidson and his team recently presented Kylie Palmer, corporate fundraiser for Hospice at Home Carlisle and Lakeland with £3,150.

The hospice is one of four of Cranstons’ charity partners who receive annual share of profits donations. Tynedale Hospice at Home, The Great North Air Ambulance and Carlisle Youth Zone have also received share of profits this year.

Steven said: “We’re over the moon to show our ongoing commitment to Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland with this latest share of profits donation. The whole Cranstons team is committed to supporting the communities we serve. It’s amazing to think that our customers can contribute to this essential local service simply by choosing to shop with us.”

In addition to donating a share of profits Cranstons has a community fund providing raffle prizes and sponsorship for hundreds of community events each year.

Kylie added: “We are lucky to have the support of businesses like Cranstons. The mission of providing local care for local people never gets smaller. But with the help of Business Partners and Volunteers playing their vital roles, collectively, we are able to ensure Hospice at Home achieves our mission.

“Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland provides crucial care and support to patients and their families during difficult times.

“The charity works with the entire family following the diagnosis of a life limiting condition. We support the patients as well as the carer via a range of services like complementary therapy or bereavement counselling to palliative care. We are there throughout the process.

“This is why we welcome support from all businesses regardless of size or sector. Without them we would not be able to provide the care and support we do to patients and families in our community and we are extremely grateful to the Cranstons team for their continued support.”
