Family supermarket Booths, which has stores across Cumbria, has been named Cheddar Retailer of the Year at an international awards ceremony.
The chain won 21 gold medals at the International Cheese and Dairy Awards at Bingley Hall, Staffordshire. Booths has held the Cheddar Retailer of the Year title for four years running.
Among the 21-gold medal winning cheese were Booths brand lines of Cheddar, Lancashire, Cheshire, Wensleydale, and Blue cheese.
Booths cheese buyer Alan Kirby said “We’re absolutely delighted with our Booths wins at the International Cheese and Dairy Awards. This is a real credit to the skill and dedication of our cheesemakers, both in our Northern heartland and further afield.”
