The TEG team

Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster members have sponsored membership of small businesses into BECBC to help support their growth.

Membership of the organisation will allow the smaller firms to access more networking and to BECBC’s tender portal so they can line up more work.

Sponsors are Amentum, Cavendish Nuclear, Morgan Sindall, NSG, Costain, Arup and Cyclife EDF.

One of the smaller businesses to benefit is TEGretail.

Jenny Brumby, of TEGretail, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to BECBC and sponsors for this fantastic opportunity of providing free memberships to some of the start-up businesses.

“The networking events are a great place to meet new people and find new collaborations. TEG has benefited hugely from the support given over the past three years and hopes to inspire more businesses to become a member.”

Other businesses which have been offered membership are:

  • Rebecca Lyall from Eco-lure, an ethical clothing brand
  • Rachel McCartney, of McCartney Sustainable Solutions, food waste recycling
  • Natalie Barker, of M&M Business Support
  • Glen Anderson, Proud and Diverse Cumbria

Dianne Richardson, CEO of Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster, said: “We are excited to see such wonderful engagement from our members through this form of sponsorship.

“It can be very difficult for start-ups to join networking groups when budgets are tight. Personally, I am just so delighted to see that the cluster can facilitate this and trust it will encourage these small business owners and result in business for them, long-term.”
