An established Cumbrian firm is continuing to expand as demand for its products and services grow.
Andersons Ltd was set up in Carlisle in 1888 as a timber merchants and introduced fitted kitchens at its city branch in the 1970s. It is still going strong today for both trade and non-trade customers.
In June, work began to expand and modernise its timber storage sheds at its Denton Holme premises and increase the size of the car park. It is planning to recruit three new members of staff in light of the changes.
Andrew Hodgkinson, timber and joinery manager at Andersons, said: “We are happy to report that it is progressing well. To accommodate the increased demand, we have stocked up on all your timber needs from skirting, architraves, redwood planed sections, door frames and MDF mouldings.
“For 135 years since 1888, we have been dedicated to serving the local community and the modernisation reflects the modern-day requirements of our highly valued retail and trade customers.
“This is fantastic news for both Andersons and the community we are proud to serve.”
