Workington Reds have been handed a home draw in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup on September 2.
Danny Grainger’s men will entertain Prestwich Heys from the North West Counties League’s Premier Division.
On Saturday they won 2-0 at Penistone Church in the preliminary round, previously having scored a very good 3-1 home win over Bootle from NPL West.
They are currently 18th out of 24 in the NWCounties with a win and two draws for five points from their first five games.
Former Workington forward Ruben Jerome is also in the competition with his new club Emley. They go to Lower Breck in Liverpool on Wednesday night for their delayed preliminary round tie with the winners travelling to Widnes.
Jerome missed a penalty but then scored later in the game as Emley won at Huddersfield rivals Golcar in a North East Counties League game on Saturday.
Former Workington players Donae Lawrence and Iyrwah Gooden are also in the Emley side.
Reds are back in NPL Premier Division action tomorrow night with another tough test at home to Radcliffe. Having lost 6-1 at leaders Ilkeston on Saturday, Reds now take on another 100% side who are second in the table.
