Wath Brow Hornets have kicked off a new scheme at the rugby league club aimed at the youngest age group.
Tots Rugby is not just about rugby, it’s about getting kids out and integrating with other kids in a different environment, teaching them counting and identifying colours, all while playing fun games together.
Wath Brow official Martin Brough said: “It’s the first of its kind in Cumbria and we are getting about 48 kids every week.
“We have just completed a 10-week programme and will be restarting back up in a month’s time.
“Players James and Karl Dixon, Peter Caddy and Matt Huby are involved in coaching the kids.”
