Here is the first glimpse inside Workington’s TK Maxx – due to open in the town next month.
Photographer Jon Joe was out on his daily visit to the town centre and spotted the doors were slightly ajar.
Builders are currently working on part of the former Debenhams building in Washington Square to transform it into TK Maxx.
The fashion and homeware retailer lodged planning applications with Cumberland Council in April for advertising signs and work has been ongoing to transform part of the building.
A 15-year lease was signed by the chain in January.
The firm will take over 22,500sq ft of the building. It is not known what will happen with the rest of the store.
