Keswick Ladies were able to put out a strong first team for the visit of Kendal 2nds.
They were bolstered by the return, after 18 months, of the influential Kat Miller, whereas the visitors were struggling for numbers.
In the end, Keswick’s Kate Armstrong swapped sides and played in goal for Kendal.
The home team were soon into their stride with Miller scoring after only seven minutes. They then went close a couple more times before Emily Willdig scored to double the lead.
Keswick sensed the win was there for the taking, and a minute later Willdig scored her second and Miller then added her second on 22 minutes, and followed up with her hat-trick goal two minutes later.
The Kendal ladies tried to play themselves back into the match with some good possession in midfield, but on 33 minutes Willdig completed her hat-trick, and right on half-time Rachel Armstrong secured the bragging rights in the Armstrong household, beating her on-loan sister Kate to make the score 7-0 at the break.
With the game won by now, Keswick still pressed forwards, but were trying players in different positions as they used their substitutions.
They kept the same shape, and the players switching positions fitted in well to the patterns.
Kendal pulled a goal back five minutes into the second half through Isabella Wilkin, but 10 minutes into the half Neve Parsons scored Keswick’s eighth.
There were no further goals and Keswick won 8-1.
