The Benevolent Cup made up the majority of the Cumberland County League action at the weekend.

Unisun Athletic beat their Aspatria 5-0 with goals from Dorin Covaci (2), Liam Graham, Charlie Thomson and Jake Nicholson.

A hat-trick from Harry Watson plus goals from Jack Dunston, Owen Johnston, Cain Pears and Tyler Harrell gave Premier Division outfit Workington Reserves a 7-0 win against Mirehouse from Division One.

In the Whitehaven Miners Social derby, the first team beat the Development team 5-0 with Bradley O’Pray (2), Jamie Thursday, Owen Woods and Alan Cardy all netting goals.

Windscale Reserves travelled to Gosforth and came away with a 3-0 win with Lewis Selkirk, Ethan Messenger and Kieren Frazer all on the scoresheet for the visitors.

Cockermouth were also on the road and travelled to Division One rivals Silloth and came away with a 3-1 win. In-form Luke Graham once again found the net with two goals and Kane Tinnion also netted one. Host Silloth scored through Kris Nichol.

Lastly in the Benevolent Cup, Wigton Harriers were 4-1 winners against Whitehaven AFC Reserves with goals from Harvey Harrison (2), Tom Hill and Carl Lightfoot with Shane Tyson netting for Whitehaven.

Away from the cup, a Ciaran Booty goal gave Maryport Athletic a 1-0 victory against Carlisle City Development in the Cumberland County League Premier Division.

In Division One, Cal West, Ste Hilton and Matt Rankin all scored goals for Keswick as they beat Dearham United 3-0.
