A dour contest at Holker Street had goal-less draw written all over from a long way out.
It would be difficult to make a case out for either side to have won it, with the entertainment value well down the scale.
Barrow are now down to 15th in the table with their visitors four points better off and just outside the play-off places.
Experienced defender James Chester had the first real chance in the first half but didn’t quite time his header from Alex Newby’s cross which cleared the bar by inches.
Barrow had the edge at the start of the second half but there were little opportunities for them, or even for Wimbledon when they did manage to put some pressure on.
Ali Al Hamadi did have an opportunity for Wimbledon after 70 minutes but after showing good pace to get past Niall Canavan he drove his shot straight at home keeper Paul Farman.
Wimbledon managed to survive a desperate scramble before keeper Alex Bass managed to smother the ball.
Dons substitute Aron Sasu forced Farman into a late save and the Barrow keeper did well to foil Jakes Reeves when he broke away right at the end.
