After restarting their meetings in September, Workington and District Camera club have made a good start to the season already.
So far they have held talks on taking nature images and how to produce and set up macro photographs, a practical night with studio lighting and the first open competition.
That was well received as it showed an interesting mix of 60 pictures produced as both digital images and prints from both experienced and club class members.
Four of the winning pictures are shown.
For the new season the club has lost a few members mainly due to work commitments, but gained a few new ones too.
Some have moved over from the Copeland club which folded before the new season started, so the Workington club still have about 30 enthusiastic members with a wide range of technical expertise and a variety subjects they enjoy producing.
Chairman John Fare said: “If there are people interested in photography at any level why not come along for a free taster session, all details and programme are on the website www.workingtonanddistrictcameraclub.co.uk
