
Former Lancashire and India Test star Farokh Engineer was the special guest at the Cumbria Cricket League’s annual presentations.
He was a busy man because the League has a long list of trophies to hand out to winners from the Premier, First and Second divisions.
The League winners were headed by Carlisle who retained the Premier Division crown.
Dalton will be promoted after winning the First Division (F Roskell Cup) while Whitehaven 2nds were the Second Division champions.
As for the various knock-out competitions there were shared round – Vogodny Cup – Whitehaven 2nds; Marsden Cup – Workington 2nds; Sowerby Cup – Furness 2nds; Higson Cup – Cockermouth; Robin Dunn Memorial Cup (T20 champions) – Furness.
There was an award for the Premier League Umpire of the Year which went to Craig Barras while the Premier League ground of the year was Poolside, Haverigg.

Wicket keeper award – Ollie Whalley (Barrow 2nds); 2nd Division Player of the Year – Dominic Chambers (Whitehaven 2nds); 2nd Division Under-21 Player of the Year – Kian Larmour (Whitehaven 2nds).
