Jack Frost hit hard on Friday night resulting in half the fixtures been postponed.
However it was another tasty weekend in the Cumberland County League with some excellent entertainment.
In the Benevolent Cup quarter final, Unisun Athletic were the visitors to Whitehaven Miners Social and it was the hosts who took the lead in the opening minute through Lewis Park.
The same player hit the back of the net once again eight minutes later and he completed his hat-trick with another fine goal five minutes before half time.
In the second half, Unisun Athletic got a goal back in the 80th minute from a rebounded shot from substitute Liam Graham following a corner.
Graham scored again in the 88th minute but unfortunately for Unisun they ran out of time and it will be Miners who go into the semis.
In the other quarter final, Cockermouth entertained Bransty Rangers and it was the hosts who were successful winning 3-1 with goals from Sam Wright, Ben Wright and Kyran Bertram with Rangers goal coming from Michael Garroway.
As well as the Cup, there was a game in the Premier Division when Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves and Workington Reserves met.
Ryan Hall and Jamie Martin both netted goals to give Celtic the three points. Sam Christian got a consolation goal for the Reds.
