The A595 near Millom is closed following an incident this morning.
Cumbria Crack has been told two HGVs have become stuck near the Whitcham Valley.
It is closed both ways and there is heavy traffic due to the incident, plus ice from Hallthwaites to Silecroft.
Drivers are urged to take care on the roads this morning as it is icy and surfaces are slippery.
