A Cumbrian family coming to terms with their child’s diagnosis of a rare cancer is asking for people’s help.
Two-year-old Myles Love was diagnosed with stage four high risk neuroblastoma on Wednesday and has to undergoing gruelling treatments in Newcastle’s RVI.
Only 100 children a year are diagnosed with this type of cancer and Myles will have to have chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy over the coming months.
His shellshocked dad Jon is travelling from the family’s Carlisle home and back again to look after Myles’ siblings and said it was increasingly difficult to control finances for accommodation and transport.

Cumbria Crack caught up with Jon while he was travelling to Newcastle via train. He said while there was accommodation for parents near the hospital, he would not know if he would have a bed tonight until later on today.

He said: “Myles has been sick since September but we only got the diagnosis last week because the cancer is so rare. I’m trying to split my time between Carlisle and Newcastle but it’s hard, so we launched the Gofundme page to see if anyone could help.”
