
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an incident in Workington.
A man, in his 30s, was found dead at his home on Clay Street yesterday, Christmas Day.
Police were called at around 5.55pm by the North West Ambulance Service.
He is currently in police custody.
A cordon remains in place as Cumbria police continue their enquiries into this incident.
Workington’s South Watt Street, just beyond the junction with Oxford Street, has been cordoned off to the junction of North Watt Street, Fisher Street and Falcon Place.
As a result, members of the public may see an increased police presence in the area, Cumbria police said.
