Wellbeing hubs – for people to pop in if they are struggling with any issue – will launch in Cumbria from next week.
The hubs, run by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne, and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and local organisations, will run in Workington and Carlisle.
Hollie Edmondson, the trust’s recovery clinical lead, said: “These new hubs will give people a safe, relaxed space to feel understood, listened to and supported.
“We can provide on-the-spot support with whatever you might be struggling with. If something’s weighing on your mind, we’re here to help.”
They will be held on Wednesdays at the Oval Centre in Salterbeck between 10am and 1pm and Thursdays at Botcherby Community Centre from 10am to 2pm during term time.
If successful, more hubs could be launched in other communities across north Cumbria.
