An almost 600-mile round trip and 20-hour day for Workington Amateur Boxing Club saw members break new ground travelling to Inverness.
Even with the last minute pull-outs, Lewis, Elliot, Alfie and Leon were all about to perform brilliantly in the four respective contests, all to the pleasure of the paying Scottish audience in attendance.
Thanks to Inverness Boxing club for letting us be part of the show and a special mention to Alex and coach Ross from Inverurie who travelled up at the last minute to ensure one of the contests could go ahead.
And as ever thanks to Alan, Chris and Joe for the transport, feeding and coaching of the boxers and Lewis’ parents who made the long trip up also to support.
