Edgehill Park, Whitehaven

Plans for 107 new homes in Whitehaven have been given the go-ahead by planners.

Story Homes applied for permission to extend its Edgehill Park development at Kells and it was approved by Cumberland Council planners.

Story Homes’ head of technical, Graham Parker, has been involved with the delivery of the sites in Whitehaven since the pre-development stage.

He said: “I’m delighted that our application to extend Edgehill Park has been approved. We’ve been building in Whitehaven for many years now, and I’m proud of the developments we’ve created. I’ve really enjoyed being involved in these challenging and rewarding projects.”

The recently approved phase will deliver three- to five-bedroom homes. The proposals also include the provision of affordable homes and new open spaces, Story Homes said. Electric vehicle charging points will also be fitted to each new home.
