A man has been released on bail after an alleged assault involving a woman happened in Whitehaven.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident which took place on Wednesday 29 November at around 3.15pm on Duke Street at the junction with Church Street.
A 24-year-old man from Whitehaven was arrested on suspicion of common assault. He has been released on police bail.
The woman in her 30s was uninjured.
