A dive team working in Barrow’s Devonshire Dock rescued a man in the water.
The workers, from Underwater Diving Services, spotted him in the water on Wednesday and used their boat to rescue him.
Emergency services were called, including Furness Coastguard, the fire service, police and the ambulance service.
Furness Coastguard said: “The dive team took him to the dive platform where they administered oxygen and first aid. The dive team stabilised the person while they waited for the emergency services to respond.
“This was a fantastic response from the dive team from Underwater Diving Services.”
