A tanker has run aground at the mouth of a Cumbrian harbour.
Zapadnyy, a Belize-registered vessel, got into difficulty at Silloth harbour earlier yesterday afternoon.
The 77m vessel had left Bremen in Germany at around 7.45am on February 1.
According to reports, the tanker remained grounded at midnight yesterday, February 10.
Matt, from MJ Images, captured her stopped at the mouth of the harbour and shared some images with us.
Danny Ferris, of Solway Shipping, also sent in a photo of the tanker.
It is the second time it has got into difficulty in Silloth – running aground at the harbour in 2016.
An ABP spokesman said “We can confirm that the vessel Zapadnyy ran aground during Saturday’s midday tide. There are no injuries reported.
“The vessel was successfully refloated and returned to port. It is now alongside at the Port of Silloth and ABP staff are undertaking assessments of any impact.”
