Critical care teams from the Great North Air Ambulance had a busy weekend – with six call outs in Cumbria on Saturday and Sunday.
They were among 17 incidents the charity responded to across Cumbria and the North East.
In Cumbria, the ambulance responded to incidents four times via helicopter and twice via rapid response vehicle, including a collision in Orton, near Appleby.
They were called at around 5.25pm on Saturday to the incident and the team worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient, who was taken to hospital in a land ambulance.
