Emergency services were called out yesterday, March 13, to deal with an incident in Kendal.
Several police vehicles and at least three fire engines were near the Romney Bridge over the River Kent and close to Kirkbie Kendal School.
Cumbria police said: “Officers making enquiries in Kendal at about 5.30pm yesterday became aware of concerns for the welfare of a man, in his 30s, near the river.
“As part of a multi-agency response, officers were deployed to engage with the man. The incident was safely concluded at about 7.15pm.”
