A man has died following a crash on the A66.
Police were called yesterday at around 4.58pm to a report of a two car collision involving a grey Honda Civic and a silver Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 38-year-old man from the Nottinghamshire area, died at the scene.
The A66 was closed between the A6 at Penrith and the A685 at Brough for a number of hours.
