What the new Spar store in Bowness could look like

Up to 45 jobs will be created at a new Lake District convenience store and petrol station.

A new Spar store is set to open its doors in Bowness in July.

James Hall & Co, which runs Spar, is holding a recruitment day later this month.

James Watt, area manager for James Hall & Co, said: “Excitement is building ahead of our summer launch for Spar Bowness and we are looking forward to opening.

“Our recruitment team have been working hard ahead of launch, and the recruitment day is the perfect opportunity to meet them. We have applicants lined up already with pre-arranged slots for interview and there will be opportunities for people to walk in as well.”

A recruitment day will be held on Thursday April 25 between noon and 7pm at The Ladyholme Centre, 21 Lake Road, Bowness-on-Windermere, LA23 2JA.

Those attending will have the chance to meet the recruitment team as well as store manager Chris Warriner.
