A train firm has announced it is increasing services on the West Coast Main Line.
TransPennine Express is set to introduce a service every two hours between Manchester Airport and Glasgow Central from next month.
It means there will now be 40 services a day running along the route, which includes Carlisle Railway Station and Penrith Railway Station as stops, and a consistent hourly service will also run between Manchester and Lockerbie throughout the day.
The new timetable will be brought in from Sunday June 2, along with the rest of the national rail network.
