
A man has died at a Carlisle city centre Wetherspoon pub after falling ill inside the premises, police have confirmed.
Officers were contacted at 11.47pm yesterday, Wednesday May 29.
It was reported that a man aged in his 60s had fallen ill inside the Woodrow Wilson pub on Botchergate, Carlisle.
Police and paramedics responded to the incident.
A Cumbria police spokesman said: “Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man died at the scene.
“The circumstances of the death are not believed to be suspicious, and the coroner has been informed.”
