Talks are underway for a lasting legacy to commemorate Hairy Biker Dave Myers after the success of Barrow’s Dave Day.
Thousands of people descended on the town to celebrate the life of the TV star on June 8.
Around 46,000 bikers rode into the town to pay tribute to the TV chef who died, aged 66, in February after a cancer diagnosis two years ago.
The huge procession of bikes set off from London on Saturday morning and was led by Dave’s TV sidekick and best friend, Si King.
Once in Barrow they gathered outside the town hall to hear from Dave’s friends and family.
Westmorland and Furness Council said: “Lots of people have asked about the possibility of some lasting Dave Day legacy for Barrow.
“We’ve listened to those calls and we’re currently having discussions with partners including Barrow BID, along with Dave Myers’ family and Si King, about ways to keep the Dave Day spirit going…we’ll hopefully be able to share more details soon.”
Meanwhile, a film has been released by John Rennie capturing the highlights of Dave Day, including footage from Steve Nicholson, Scott Thomson, Ian Andrew Irwin, John Walker, Diane Cullen, John Phillips and Jarvis Yoghourt.
