
A man has been arrested after an incident in a West Cumbrian village.
The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the incident in Distington on Monday, July 1.
Officers were called to Midtown Close after being made aware that a man in the street had suffered a head injury.
He was taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven for treatment and later discharged.
The man who was arrested last night remains in custody today.
