Dog lovers are invited to a Woof & Wag event next month to help raise cash for a cancer charity.

Woof & Wag will be held at Abbot Hall Park in Kendal on August 31 in aid of CancerCare.

Running from 11am to 4pm, Woof & Wag promises to be an action-packed afternoon with a host of activities, including dog-themed games and more, said organisers.

The featured event will be the dog show, which will run categories for pooches of all shapes, sizes and breeds.

There will be classes and prizes for the best trick, the waggiest tail and the overall best in show among others.

There will be a host of local shops and stalls, too, selling dog treats, toys and other essentials.

The event is free to attend, with a £2 entry per dog per show class. To enter the dog show visit https://www.trybooking.com/uk/DRRM

The café and facilities at the Abbot Hall art gallery will be available to use on the day.

Woof & Wag is run in aid of CancerCare, an independent charity in North Lancashire and South Cumbria dedicated to helping people affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses, or those bereaved by cancer, life-shortening illness, sudden and unexpected death.
