
A woman had to seek medical attention after a bottle, thrown out of a van, hit her.
Police are investigating the incident as an assault.
It happened on July 20 at around 7.45pm on Newtown Road in Carlisle.
Police said: “It has been alleged that while the victim has been walking down Newtown Road a full plastic drinks bottle has been thrown from what is believed to be a white van.
“This has caused injury to the victim – a woman in her 40s – leading to medical attention being sought.”
Officers are asking for anyone who may have seen the incident or who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
