Keeping their minds on the rugby and demonstrating their professionalism will be the main task for Whitehaven’s players at Bradford tomorrow.
But the club went through similar travails last season and survived in the Championship with some outstanding performances when needed from the team.
They are likely to be the only Championship side able to name just 19 players for this weekend’s game and on other occasions coach Jonty Gorley has had to go into battle with less.
Bradford boss Eamon O’Carroll has named his 21-strong squad with Eribe Doro and Jorge Taufua returning following their respective suspensions.
Captain Michael Lawrence is also named alongside Jayden Myers, with the duo poised to return from injury.
The Whitehaven squad travelling to Bradford is: Ross Ainley, Sam Campbell, Jake Carter, Lucas Castle, Rio Corkill, Will Evans, Edene Gebbie, Lachlan Hanneghan, Noah High, Ben Hursey, Ryan King, Jake Maizen, Owen McCarron, James Newton, Callum Shaw, Perry Singleton, Curtis Teare, Mac Walsh, Huw Worthington.
Bradford will choose from: Keven Appo, Logan Bayliss, John Davies, Eribe Doro, Romain Franco, Zac Fulton, Sam Hallas, Tom Holmes, Michael Lawrence, Max Lehmann, Jordan Lilley, Harvey Makin, Nathan Mason, Jayden Myers, Jayden Okunbor, Tyran Ott, Franklin Pele, Eliot Peposhi, Jarrod Sammut, Mitch Souter, Jorge Taufua.
