Art in the Park – at Ulverston’s Ford Park – is to make a return.
Following the success of the first Art in the Park in May, local artists’ work will be on show on Sunday, September 1 from 11am to 3pm.
Artists include Peter and Marie Graves, Val Stangoe, Rebecca Bennett, Sarah Brown, Nisha Halo, Kathryn Stevens and Marie Rollet.
Artists will be exhibiting in the Williams Room, the Coach House Courtyard, Terrace and Walkway and the garden will be open, as will the Beehive shop and plant nursery.
People are invited to meet the the artists, talk to them about their technique, choice of medium and what inspires them, and maybe purchase a piece to take home.
And while people are feeling inspired by all the artwork, they are invited to tap into their own creativity and help create the longest, most colourful chalk snake – Picasso the Park Python!
The event is free to attend, any money raised from the sale of goods on the stalls will support the Ford Park charity.
Any local artists who would like to exhibit can contact Ford Park via its website at https://www.ford-park.org.uk/
