Watchtree Nature Reserve has received a boost from a Cumbrian holiday park.
North Lakes Country Park, near Silloth, has sponsored the renovation of a wildlife hide at the reserve in north Cumbria.
The sponsorship funded a rebuild of the entrance door, enhancing the experience for visitors and supporting wildlife observation in the area.
The donation from North Lakes Country Park was crucial in covering the cost of high-quality materials required for the project, the reserve said, and the renovation was made even more special by the craftsmanship provided by one of Watchtree’s dedicated volunteers, a retired joiner, who brought years of experience and a deep commitment to the reserve to this project.
Ryan Dobson, manager, said: “We are thrilled to have the support of North Lakes Country Park. Their contribution has allowed us to make necessary improvements to our wildlife hide, ensuring it remains a welcoming and functional space for our visitors who come to enjoy the wildlife here.
“The craftsmanship provided by our volunteers highlights the talent within our team.”
