Keswick School is inviting parents of year six pupils to find out what it can offer their children at a series of open mornings through September and October.
The school says the secret of its success is that it is a happy and harmonious community, where there is friendly competition between students and exciting opportunities to learn from inspiring specialist teachers.
There is an extensive extra-curricular programme and students are encouraged to learn and be innovative.
Touted as one of the best ‘gold-star non-fee-paying schools in the land’, it regularly features as one of the top performers in North West England in the Telegraph and Sunday Times.
This is reflected in the school’s motto Levavi oculos – Lift up your eyes.
Simon Jackson, headteacher, said: “Students think differently, whether it’s starting a GCSE in Latin in year 7, writing and publishing books, prosecuting cases at the High Court, undertaking research with a scanning electron microscope or performing in our annual school musical or iPerform festival, we are dedicated to encouraging and supporting outstanding performance.

Maintaining the highest grade in every category places Keswick among a handful of top schools in the country.
The school invests time in fostering a supportive and caring community. This is led by a 90-strong team of year 13 prefects, over 100 subject and peer mentors, and a comprehensive coaching programme.
The exam results, some of the highest in the country, in English, maths, science and languages speak for themselves.
Students and staff are encouraged to innovate whether setting up clubs, building robots from Lego, coding in python or busking on our baby grand piano, it all makes a difference, builds confidence and enables students to stand out from the crowd.
The school has developed the idea of flipped learning, uses AI as a teaching tool, has 38 staff and department websites and uses Google Classroom to support learning and prepare students for future work at university and in business.
