A successful Solway Coast guesthouse and glamping site is on the market for £1.25 million.
Wallsend Guest House and Glamping Pods, based in Bowness-On-Solway, has been brought to market by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.
The guest house is located within the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is highly popular with tourists.
Originally built in 1921, the guest house is set within landscaped gardens, presenting six welcoming en-suite bedrooms, a guest’s sitting room, a dining room, imposing hallway and lounge.

The current owners have also recently extended the property to create a spacious owners’ accommodation.
Also included within the sale is the successful glamping site that currently offers five individual, self-contained, glamping pods each including a log fire hot tub.
The property also includes a sixteen-pitch, seasonal campsite, which is popular with walkers and cyclists.

The business has been owned and operated by Barry and Michelle Maxey since 2020.
Barry said: “We spent a lot of time looking for the right business and lifestyle for us, and when we first visited, we knew we had found a great opportunity.
“We invested in the property to meet the expectations of our guests, developed the new owners’ accommodation and increased our ownership to include the glamping pods and the campsite.”

Michelle added: “We have enjoyed hosting so many guests and being part of the local community. The business we have created is very successful and we are delighted with what we have achieved.
“We will pass it over to the new owners with confidence that they will enjoy it as much as we have, but in the knowledge that there are also opportunities to develop the business further.”
