Greatest Hits Radio will close its Carlisle studio tomorrow.
CFM was rebranded in April 2023 as Greatest Hits Radio and Robbie Dee moved to the afternoon slot after presenting the breakfast show for around 20 years.
Bauer Media, which owns Greatest Hits, has confirmed that Robbie Dee is leaving as the studio, on Parkhouse Road, closes.
His afternoon show, from 1pm to 4pm, will be replaced by Andy Goulding from Monday.
A Bauer Media Audio spokesman said: “Atlantic House has been the home of Greatest Hits Radio Cumbria & South West Scotland, and CFM before it for a number of years and we’re really grateful for all the many good times and memories.
“As we close the building doors and open a new chapter, we remain committed to providing our audiences with local news and information for the area alongside our national programming.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our teams, but particularly Robbie Dee whose passion and commitment to radio is really inspiring. We wish him all the best.”
Local radio stations have a legal requirement to broadcast a minimum of three hours of local content a day. Greatest Hits Radio uses a mix of local content and networked broadcasts from the likes of Simon Mayo and Ken Bruce.
As of March 2024, the station has a weekly audience of 75,000 listeners.
