A 24-hour gym is set to open in a South Cumbrian town.
Plans have been given the go-ahead for the transformation of part of a former vehicle workshop in Kendal into the gym, run by brand Puregym.
Part of the building recently opened as a branch of bakers Greggs.
Westmorland and Furness Council approved the application from Cox Motor Group to convert part of the workshop off Queen Katherine’s Avenue into a Puregym.
The gym will open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It will have 23 parking spaces and 10 bike parking spaces.
The site will be accessed from Queen Katherine’s Avenue and a via a new pedestrian access from Appleby Road that was formed as part of the Greggs approval.
