An open day will be held at a Lake District mountain rescue team’s base to help raise funds for the volunteer organisation which is responding to a rising level of callouts.
Wasdale Mountain Team will hold the event on Saturday May 10 at its Longlands Rescue Base, near Gosforth and the Wasdale Head Inn.
It will include tours of the base from 9am to noon, a chance to meet search dog Jess, demonstrations of equipment and a merchandise stall.
Entertainment will take place at the inn from 2pm to late. Local band Kickstart and special guests will be performing.
People are urged to put themselves forward for a talent show during the event and a VIP dinner package is also available.
A duck race will also take place at 2pm.
