Plans have been lodged for a new spa and leisure facility in a South Lakes holiday park.
Pure Leisure Ltd want to create the facility at Lakesway Holiday Home and Lodge Park, off Sampool Lane, in Levens.
Members of South Lakeland local area planning committee are recommended to approve the proposals when they meet next Tuesday.
Plans include an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi area, changing facilities, a sauna/steam room, two treatment rooms, a sales room, a plant room and 10 extra car parking spaces.
An outdoor decking area, overlooking the site’s existing pond, is also part of the plans.

Pure Leisure said it was anticipated that the development would create extra jobs and it was hopeful it would receive an increased interest from visitors looking to rent holiday lodges.
Previous plans to build a larger leisure centre on the site were approved in 2018 but that was in a less efficient location than the new plans, the company said.
It said it was not seeking permission for an additional building but the previously approved scheme remained a fallback option if the new application was refused.

Levens Parish Council has objected over concerns about noise and light pollution from the proposed development.
However, a report prepared for the committee said: “The development would not result in unacceptable detrimental impacts on the appearance of the area, ecology, highways and would not compromise residential amenity inside or outside the site, subject to the application of suitable conditions.”
