
A woman has been banned from being drunk in public for two years.
Alexandra Shaw, 48, of Jefferson Park, Whitehaven, was handed the two-year criminal behaviour order at West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court yesterday, December 2.
She must comply with the following conditions which prohibit her from:
- Being drunk in a public place
- Consuming alcohol in a public place other than in a licensed premises which serves alcohol to be consumed on the premises.
A criminal behaviour order application for Shaw was sought after by the local policing team following her conviction for being drunk in a public place in June.
Anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken should contact the police immediately.
The punishment for breaking the terms of a criminal behaviour order can be up to five years in prison.
