Whitehaven head coach Anthony Murray will get his first look at his new-look side in action on Sunday, January 5.
They will travel to Barrow to take on the Raiders in their first pre-season work-out ahead of their return to League One.
The two clubs have met several times recently in the Championship with some exciting, tight games but this will be the first time they have met in pre-season since 2019 ahead of Whitehaven’s title winning League One campaign under Gary Charlton.
Barrow follow up a week later with a home friendly against Workington Town.
News on the annual clash between Whitehaven and Town for the Ike Southward Memorial Trophy is expected later this week.
