A Cumbrian mountain rescue team was called out five times on Sunday to help drivers stranded due to the snow – and assisted 24 people.
Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team said they were called to help people who needed rescuing from their vehicles on the B6276 Brough to Middleton road, the B6270 Nateby to Keld road and Roman Road on South Stainmore.
