Lake District passes closed due to snow

A number of Lake District passes are closed due to snow.

Drivers are warned to take care on the roads this morning, Thursday, January 9.

Honister Pass, Cold Fell, Hardnott Pass, Newlands Pass and Wrynose Pass all remain off limits to drivers.

Honister Pass is closed both ways due to ice between Borrowdale and Buttermere.

The road is closed due to ice on Newlands Pass both ways between Braithwaite and Buttermere.

Cold Fell is closed between Calderbridge and Ennerdale Bridge.

The road is closed due to ice on Hardknott Pass both ways between Wrynose Pass and Brook House Inn.

The road is closed due to ice on Wrynose Pass both ways from Hardknott Pass to Side Gates.
